Perfect Ground Ground Cable

The Perfect Ground is a high-performance grounding cable designed to provide a direct path between an audio component’s ground connection and the AC safety ground. By connecting the component ground directly to earth, it is intended to help remove unwanted electrical noise from sensitive circuitry, improving clarity, image focus, tonal purity, and the sense of space within the recording.

The Perfect Ground uses four 14 AWG multi-strand, high-purity oxygen-free copper conductors, creating a substantial 8 AWG aggregate grounding path. PVC insulation is used throughout the cable, while Binchō-tan—Japanese Ubame oak charcoal—is incorporated into the wall-plug assembly to help absorb unwanted EMI and RF interference.

A standard Perfect Ground is six feet long, with an RCA component-side termination and a Binchō-tan-equipped AC wall plug. XLR, LAN, spade, clip, and 3.5 mm terminations are available as special-order options, with Leviton, Schuko, or UK connectors available according to the required electrical standard. The cable is wired exclusively from ground to ground and does not carry the audio signal or mains power.

The Perfect Ground offers a practical and accessible introduction to GutWire’s grounding system. Its multi-strand copper construction and Binchō-tan treatment provide a different presentation from the solid-core, air-insulated Ultimate Ground, allowing customers to choose the grounding cable that best suits their component and system.
